Casting Company : Rolf Scheider on German casting tour for the new face of JUNGSTIL 2010, new office in Berlin and the latest job news

Casting Company loves Berlin. Berlin is now one of the world’s most ultra hip places. “A plethora of interesting projects in fashion, architecture and art is now being realised in Berlin. Berlin now counts as one of the world’s metropolises, just as Paris, London, Milan, New York, Barcelona and Los Angeles do”, states Rolf Scheider. From January 2010 onwards his office and team will be based in Berlin.

First things first, here is the latest news from Paris : Matthieu Peltier, younger brother of Casting Director Julien, is a new addition to the crew, making it a real “family business” from now on, just like in the good old days. The office has also been treated to a technical update. Online casting in real time is state of the art by the Seine.

On the job side of things, they spent weeks casting the most interesting young actors France has to offer for creative English film director Sara Dunlop’s latest short. The enchanting actress Joanna Preiss was confirmed. The film premiered on 15 July in Soho House, London.

But there were also plenty of fascinating projects with the commercial clients: for example, the casting that took place in Paris for an overseas client and director Marilie Fröhlich. The chosen actresses had to speak Arabic – not all too easy !

And the crew also searched Paris for professional dancers to star in the NIVEA spot.

This was followed by the project for yummy St. ALBRAY cheese – where they searched for a perfect French cheese merchant with the original French accent.

Additional exciting projects included Tchibo, Mulino Bianco , Otto , Mövenpick , Stiegl , Eduscho … at the moment the casting network’s offices are busy as bees.

This week Rolf will start his German casting tour for the face of the JUNGSTIL internet fashion store. First stop Munich on Friday 6 November, followed by Frankfurt on 14 November.
