GoSee Tip : The Irrepressibles – a musical sip of mulled wine to warm you up on a frosty winter’s night

The Irrepressibles are a group of performers that come together to make beautiful, dramatic and moving music. Their poignant and eclectic sound shoots straight to the heart.

They are just what you need on a cold winter’s day or evening, their musical touch will leave you feeling warmed up and unfrozen in seconds. A musical sip of mulled wine. A taste of summer wine magic on a frosty day.

The London-based ten member orchestral ensemble is fronted by lead singer and guitarist Jamie McDermott. The group have been casting their enchanting spell of euphoric music and performance art for seven years.

Their installation-like approach to performance has seen them perform in a glass cube with neon strobe lights in the middle. They moved and created music just like the dance of decadent moths drawn into the light. An absolute must see, which is why we have featured them on GoSee FILM.

The Irrepressibles also often play outdoor locations, reinforcing their ethereal sound by appearing to come out of the woods, from behind trees, as if out of nowhere.

In fact, GoSee had the pleasure of witnessing The Irrepressibles come out of the woods and change the gloomy cold surroundings into a wondrous and warming experience. They held a free gig in connection with London’s Band Stand Busking collective, which organises free acoustic gigs at the city’s countless band stands located in parks such as Victoria Park.
