Lana Del Rey conquers the charts with 'Video Games' and wins hearts all over the world. COMPLEX magazine shoot.
Her catchy tune 'Video Games' has been a staple of our autumn soundtrack and we kept it playing on repeat in the office. The charming singer with the voice that goes right under your skin is enjoying global success. Parisian fashion photographer Gyslain Yarhi invited Lana Del Rey to step in front of his camera for a COMPLEX magazine shoot.
The location for the production was The Gore Hotel in London and the crew made the right choice when they identified the 'Judy Garland' room as the best place for the production . . . we are pleased to present the results here on GoSee!
After both her concerts in Germany (Berlin and Cologne) were sold out within the blink of an eye, we are even more eager to finally hold the US-American super artist’s first album in our hands. 'Born to Die' will be released in Germany on the 27th of January.
Lana herself is probably the best person to describe what exactly we can expect from the album: ‘My songs tell of epic, episodic and prolonged love stories. That's what I want to achieve with my music. I want to destroy lives and understand the lure of danger. […] There is a whole new genre that nobody is paying any attention to. The American Dream and The American Psycho more and more represent the same thing. Cinema, music and life begin to merge. Death is art. Pop music is on its last legs and the dream we once dreamt and saw bloom to such eternally colourful heights is now dead.’
