Lie Beside Me! Kilian Kerner presents his new Autumn/Winter Collection 2011/12 in Berlin

'Leg Dich neben mich’ (lie beside me) is seductive. No wonder, Kilian Kerner chose to name his new collection with such alluring words. Let’s get to the point, in simple terms Kilian Kerner’s show rocked!

Pencil skirts, cropped jackets, leather and metal detailing, Swarovski elements and pink accents. A collection of classic silhouettes, the cuts are formed from flowing silk and chiffon, wool, knitwear and velvet. A premium collection, which shone on the glossy tiles of sponsor Villeroy & Boch.

The show's heat was turned up by 'Tunes of Dawn', a band from Berlin, slightly dark and romantic and delightfully tough. ‘Well, it's not a Kindergarten you know’ – Kilian Kerner. The band wrote and performed 'Lie Beside Me' especially for the event.

This was the designer’s sixth consecutive show at Berlin Fashion Week. Unlike too many other collections, the looks do actually appear to be part of an Autumn/Winter collection.

Kilian Kerner, who had his heart set on becoming an actor (supporting part in Tatort etc.), was overwhelmed and glowing with happiness. We hope that his permanent goose bumps have settled by now.
