DIMITRI Fall/Winter 2017 collection – an homage to the Studio 54 disco era with model Lucy Nelson Lee and photographer Magnus Lechner

Inspired by the music scene of the 1970s, the Fall/Winter 2017 collection from DIMITRI celebrates Studio 54 icons including Grace Jones, Diana Ross and Bianca Jagger. With wrap dresses, bell bottoms and miniskirts, the designer from Italy takes us back to an era marked by style, glamour and iconic creativity.

The campaign to go with it also reflects DIMITRI's passion for music as well as the aesthetics of the seventies. His muse was no less than five-fold Grammy winner Lauryn Hill, whose style of clothing and unmistakable hairstyle served as the model. The result is an expressive photo spread characterized by the both cool and feminine appearance of model Lucy Nelson Lee.

The 40-year-old designer, whose full name is Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos, trained at the well-known ESMOD fashion design school before going on to earn a Master's degree in fashion design at the ISTITUTO MARANGONI in Milan. The son of a Greek father and an Italian mother displayed an affinity for fashion even as a child. He has been fascinated by it ever since and has worked for renowned designers such as Jil Sander, Hugo Boss and Vivienne Westwood before starting out on his own in 2007. DIMITRI stands for quality, accuracy and personality.
