Nothing prepares your for Ethiopia´s Omo valley. It´s one of the most remote parts of this incredible country and the whole world. Nowhere else on earth you can find the multiplicity and strength of the indigenous cultures that still exist here. Over 16 different ethnic groups live in the Omo Valley region, all with different customs, rites, rituals, languages, architecture and dress. I was able to visit some of the tribes and get to know their way of life. I found myself admiring the villages, even its simplicity. Yes, it was a crude sort of life, but there was a cozy sense of bounty here, of everything having its place, of every need of life.
