Luvo Manyonga, born on 8 January, 1991, in Mbekweni near Paarl, is a South African long jumper. He grew up under poor conditions in southwestern South Africa. His father, a truck driver, left the family soon, which is why he and his older siblings were raised by his Mother Joyce alone.
