JULIA WALDMANN : the ANKERBROT campaign for Austria’s most prominent manufacturer of baked goods, plus BARBARA magazine, LUCKY STRIKE and personal work

For good reason, Anker has always been a symbol of safety, reliability, consistency and trustworthiness – values which have been an inseparable part of the ANKER brand and the company Ankerbrot since 1891. Together with advertising agency Jung von Matt/DONAU, it was back to the roots of the bakery steeped in tradition for the new advertising campaign focused on the ambiguous use of the anchor symbol to speak directly to the women and men of Vienna through their familiar coffee, chocolate croissants, bone-in ham, with a bread roll or croissant, in an emotional advertising line: “I AM YOUR ANCHOR” – when “only a croissant will do the job”, “the day needs a little nudge” or “a bit of bliss in between” is required. Or: “For days that don’t just bring flowers.”
