‘IDEE Kaffee – mild can be this stimulating.’ In the lead role for the online campaign, playing alongside the animated dancer by illustrator Katrin FUNCKE c/o ART ACT, is no other than Herr Darboven, Managing Director of the traditional company since 1966. In his imagination, an empty coffee cup is transformed into a woman dancing to jazz music. In this charming way, the film interprets the stimulating effect of IDEE KAFFEE and is, according to ART ACT, “...a wonderful blend of photography, illustration, animation and real film.”

Together with HILLERT NEXT and Fish Blowing Bubbles, the agency ART ACT developed an appealingly modern look & feel to match the innovative topic of carmaker BMW. To do so, existing characters were revisited. ART ACT designed the illustrations in polygon style in line with the concept of Munich-based agency HILLERT NEXT. The film was created in the studio by Fish Blowing Bubbles with additional 3D content, 2D animation and sound design. We have several excerpts from the project for you here on GoSee.
We are still asked to keep our live contacts to a minimum and keep a distance to others. At the moment, photo shoots and real film shoots can hardly take place, so what’s still most important is : rethinking! And relying more on illustration, animation or small GIFs.
