A couple of thrilling weeks are what Thomas SCHWOERER c/o KELLY KELLERHOFF has behind him for LAND ROVER. On commission for the agency Spark44, he produced for the traditional carmaker in Lapland/northern Sweden, Iceland and North America (Utah and Nevada). It kicked off with ice & snow locations in northern Sweden. But when the team got there, they were met by a heatwave that melted the entire snow in only three days so that they could only shoot in extreme altitudes. “Besides being creative and mastering tech, a photographer also has to be a problem solver.” says Thomas. Sometimes it even means photographing the wheels in the snow already on the planned day of scouting because you notice that the snow has started to melt under the rubber.
The trip to Iceland took place in the pouring rain, and the drone pilot struggled against the North Atlantic wind. In America, it was pretty relaxed, not too hot, not too cold. Besides little sleep and lots of driving, we had no problems at all.
And that it was all worthwhile can be seen in the amazing LAND ROVER motifs which we present you here on GoSee.
Thomas SCHWOERER c/o KELLY KELLERHOFF photographed the Ferrari 812 Superfast with Formula 1 race car driver Antonio Giovinazzi in Maranello, Italy, for Ferrari magazine. The trip with the chic red sports car started off with a test drive in the hilly landscape surrounding Maranello followed by a couple of laps on Ferrari’s own racing circuit.
In Shanghai, Thomas SCHWOERER c/o KELLY KELLERHOFF produced a campaign for the PEUGEOT 5008. During the shoot in the water, there was an unfortunate chain of events: a gust of wind knocked over a flag which in turn knocked the camera and tripod into the wet element. But Thomas came prepared and immediately whipped his second camera out of the bag. So just to be on the safe side, the team didn’t use a flag again that day. By the way – the camera insurance paid for the damage without delay.
In the colorful streets of Los Angeles, Andreas HEMPEL c/o KELLY KELLERHOFF produced the campaign motifs for the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé.
Delia BAUM c/o KELLY KELLERHOFF was commissioned by the German Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) to realize the campaign entitled ‘LIEBESLEBEN’, or love life, featuring young people in intimate situations. The photos are used across media channels as part of educational work. LIEBESLEBEN is a campaign initiated by the BZgA and informs how to protect against STDs and HIV. LIEBESLEBEN stands for an open approach to sexuality and the diversity of sexual orientations and preferences.
