DJ Khaled, born on 26 November 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana, under the real name of Khaled Mohamed Khaled and of Palestinian heritage, is an American DJ, backup rapper and music producer from Miami, Florida, who began his career as a DJ working for a college radio station in Miami before moving to popular underground broadcaster Mixx 96. His success finally helped him to get a show at 99 Jamz, one of the big radio stations in Miami. All the while, he started working as a music producer for numerous hip hop musicians, particularly for the members of Terror Squad.
In the mid-2000s, he decided to produce his own album and was able to get several famous names on board thanks to his previous work... As they say: the rest is history.
