New works by photographer Peter Franck will be on display at events and venues including the upcoming FOTOSOMMER Stuttgart. The award show, the actual main exhibition, provides an overview of contemporary photography spread across a vast spectrum of artistic to documentary approaches.
An international jury, including Urs Stahel – Director/Curator Fotomuseum Winterthur – selected 28 works from a total of over 500 entries, as well as the three artists for the SÜDWESTBANK-FOTOSOMMER Awards. The first prize goes to Peter Franck, who will be presented with his award on 30.07.2010 at the exhibition opening.
Born 1964, in Überlingen am Bodensee, Germany, Peter Franck studied Painting in 1987 at Akademie der Bildenden Künste Nürnberg and later Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart with Prof. R. Schoofs.
In addition to the ‘Apartment’ motif selected by Fotosommer, GoSee presents an overview of the photographer’s work, which also made it into this year’s Top 20 at the SCREENings Award.
