A Swiss sailing yacht runs into a refugee boot which is no longer maneuverable. The small number of refugees who make it onto the yacht take control of it. But the Swiss call the Libyan Coast Guard and notice too late that it was a mistake... We present you the trailer and several behind-the-scenes impressions from the set here on GoSee.
The high sea drama already received an award at the Palm Springs International Shortfest 2016 (Winner, Best Live Action Short). 'Bon Voyage' made it into the top ten, from over 137 applications – thus giving a real chance to win an Oscar. In January, another five on the shortlist will be chosen for the final round and the coveted trophy. Oscar nominees will be announced on 24 January, 2017. So keep your fingers crossed!

The Director, who commutes from Berlin to Kiew and New York on the story: “We all know the images of refugees landing on the coasts of Greece or Italy after their crossings. But what does it really mean to expose your life to the merciless sea? With this film, I want to bring the physical and emotional reality of a sea-crossing to our audience. But I also want to ask me and the audience: Are we aware in which comfort and luxury we are living? How ready to help, to share, to risk our own comfort are we really?”
Born 1976 in Switzerland, Swiss-British, raised in Germany, Marc Raymond Wilkins directed his first short film when he was 16. While developing feature film projects and creating award-winning short films, Marc directed over 200 commercials for clients all around the globe. He lives in New York and Berlin, preparing his first long feature film. Beside creating film, Marc is a passionate sailor. He has crossed the Atlantic, explored the Greek Islands and has sailed the East Coast of North America for many years.
