collectiveinterest is delighted to welcome two new entries: photographer Chantelle Gomez and stylist Leonie Volk.
collectiveinterest tells GoSee : "Purely weird is the combination that describes photographer Chantelle Gomez' style the best. Her compositions are artistic, and her portraits show the pureness of her protagonists. Her aesthetics are dark and deeply emotional. Chantelle Gomez is a Berlin-based, London-native photographer – best known for her portrayal of people. Having made her way to Berlin via three continents, all of which you will find in her work, Chantelle subconsciously draws from all of these experiences, and it is safe to say that the world hugely inspires the way in which she creates her images. Her aesthetic is spontaneous, clean, slightly random with the odd distorted perspective and subtle peculiarities. Chantelle Gomez has collaborated with artists, such as Nathalie Anguezomo mba Bikoro and published a book entitled “i didn’t/don’t know” in 2018.
Previous Achtung magazine Fashion Editor and stylist Leonie Volk are based in Berlin as well. Her experience from living and working in the German capital as well as London and Paris has undoubtedly informed her unique sensibility. Having assisted internationally acclaimed stylists, Leonie has honed her skills and developed a talent for storytelling. She boasts a research-intense approach and always focuses on the overall image – working on conception, casting and art direction as well as fashion styling."
