SCREEN SHOOT by Wolfgang ZAC c/o ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS – or: ‘How a photographer shot his way out of a shutdown’

We’re now all living in a time of great limitations. Limitations which are necessary for us all. But limitations have always been the place where artists thrive. Wolfgang ZAC c/o ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS looked at the tools he had at his disposal and decided to use them to create something new. Something which reflected this moment we all find ourselves trapped in. Welcome to the birth of the Screen Shoot©.

Connecting with a few of his favorite models, Wolfgang Zac and his creative partner Claudia Delpin got down to work. Location recess in the homes of models meant designing lighting and shoot rigs from materials readily available, with wardrobe and styling all done over phone cameras. When all of a sudden, this pioneering concept came together on the computer screen. Technology and humanity, isolation and still connecting, shutdowns giving birth to something entirely new. The undeniable human need to not just connect, but to create. As Wolfgang puts it: “We’re still free to do what we’ve always done, we just have to forge new paths.”

ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS: “Wolfgang’s unique Screen Shoot© method has seen an immediate reaction, and the next project is already on its way.”
