Just in time before the worldwide lockdown, PETRA WIEBE organized a week-long editorial trip to the Vaavu Atoll in the Maldives. Along for the ride besides plenty of high-end fashion, she also had star photographer Luis Monteiro, a Portuguese native and London resident, as well as captivating Israeli model Kate Konlin. In floral looks from Dior to Bally, she looked amazing both in and out of the water. Jewelry from Hermes also suited her quite well, as can be easily seen in the photos.
The second beauty story was created with the same team for HARPER’S BAZAAR Turkey with German top model and psychology student Antonia Wesseloh. A native of Hamburg, she has already walked for Marc Jacobs, Prada, Anna Sui, Balenciaga, Marni, Sonja Rykiel, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, Loewe, Donna Karan, Lacoste, Giambattista Valli, Oscar de la Renta, Nina Ricci, Rochas, Blumarine, Anteprima, Armani Privé, Bouchra Jarrar, Elie Saab, Dior, and many more.
The 26 atolls of the Maldives consist of a total of 1196 islands. They have foreign-sounding names such as Baa, Raa or Huwarafushi, and are among perhaps the most beautiful landscapes in the world. The Maldives is a geographical peculiarity because it is comprised entirely of atolls. The word atoll is Maldivian: Atolhu is the term for a large, ring-shaped coral reef surrounding a lagoon.
